After consideration, Max concludes that this species of hedgehog is not edible

posing with the hedgehogs which were later a part of the Great Garden Giveaway at Cambridge University Press’s Cambridge office. Now in its sixth year, the event, which gives away plants (and hedgehogs) in return for donations to EdUKaid, a charity supporting education in Tanzania, took place in pleasant sunshine, which was a relief after the terrible weather this time last year.

PS: Later, Max, having discovered that all the hedgehogs found loving new homes, is hoping that someone will adopt him too.
