When in Doubt, Post a Cat

TigerA week’s holiday has left me a bit behindhand with the latest dazzling arrivals in the CLC office, though normal service will be resumed shortly with the monumental Letters of Queen Victoria. But in the mean time, I am resorting to the last refuge of the scoundrel blogger: pictures of cats.

This cat lived in the appartment next to ours...

This cat lived in the apartment next to ours…

... and this one patrolled the gardens.

… and this one patrolled the gardens.

Working cats were exemplified by this writer, overwhelmed by his creative efforts and wishing his firm would invest in a word-processor…

The trials of old-fashioned technology

The trials of old-fashioned technology.

… and by this cat in a carpenter’s shop, part of whose function was to sweep up shavings with his tail, and the other part to lure tourists into the premises with his grumpy and unwelcoming expression.

A resolute refusal to pose.

A resolute refusal to pose.

And that’s enough ailurophile nonsense for one week!
